Gentoo penguins are the 3rd largest living species of penguin & are such beautiful birds. In this painting honoring these wonderful feathered animals I have painted a scene of an overcast day & of a penguin family; the "father" is hopping over a couple of rocks as the mother penguin is encouraging the kids to move a little bit faster & of course one of the children has to have an attitude. I think all parents will find that a familiar scenario & now you know it happens in more than just the human species. In the scene behind the family is the rock strewn beach leading to the icy waters they will get their meal from and in the distance is a beautiful ice covered island.
